Sasumori Shrine, located in the city of Hikone in Shiga Prefecture, is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the worship of the God of War, Takemikazuchi. The shrine is known for its impressive wooden torii gate and traditional Japanese architecture. According to legend, the shrine was built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE) by Emperor Kammu's daughter, who prayed for victory in battle.
