八幡神社

Located in small town of Kamikatsu on the northern edge of Ishikawa Prefecture, the eight-spoke shrine is an important Shinto site honoring the god of fertility and prosperity, Hachiman. The complex is said to have been built over 400 years ago and features traditional wooden buildings with tiled roofs, surrounded by a tranquil forested area. The shrine is renowned for its beautiful garden and seasonal festivals celebrating spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

文化的背景

歴史

Founded in the Edo period (1603-1867), the shrine's complex was rebuilt after being destroyed in a fire in 1945.
