文化的背景

As one of the oldest shrines in Yamanashi Prefecture, Ōinaka Shrine is said to be the site where the legendary Japanese hero Minamoto no Yoshitsune was born. The shrine also hosts a annual autumn festival (ōmisoka) to celebrate the New Year.

歴史

Originally built in the Heian period (794-1185), the shrine was later rebuilt during the Kamakura period (1185-1333) in its current location.
