文化的背景

Nakatsu Hachiman Shrine is famous for its association with the legend of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, a renowned samurai and leader of the Genpei War. According to myth, Yoshitsune prayed to Hachiman for victory at the Battle of Dan-no-ura, which ultimately led to his downfall. The shrine's architecture and sacred objects are said to hold spiritual significance related to this legend.
