磐船宮

Fukui

Located in the town of Agi, Fukui Prefecture, Fusenji Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the god of ships and navigation, Fusen no Okami. This shrine was originally built during the Nara period (710-794 CE) and has undergone several renovations throughout its history. It is notable for its unique architectural style, which blends traditional Shinto elements with elements inspired by Chinese temples. Visitors can see a replica of a samurai's armor at the shrine entrance, as well as a large stone statue of Fusen no Okami. The shrine's grounds also feature a beautiful garden and a peaceful pond.
