菊川神社 is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Fujieda, Shizuoka Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to Tsukiyomi-no-kami, the god of the moon and ocean. According to legend, Tsukiyomi-no-kami took pity on the local villagers who were struggling with rice cultivation and created a fertile field that brought prosperity to the area. The shrine's main hall, torii gate, and garden are all modeled after traditional Shinto architecture from the Edo period.
