風宮神社

Wind Temple Shrine, located in the city of Koka, Shiga Prefecture, is dedicated to the kami of wind and is said to be built on an old temple foundation. According to legend, the shrine was originally a Buddhist temple but was later converted to a Shinto shrine. The shrine's main hall is adorned with intricate wooden carvings and its torii gate is decorated with a unique 'Wind god' (Kaze no kami) ema. Visitors can experience the refreshing breeze from the nearby Lake Biwa.
