Overview

Sannin Resort is a private forest villa where you wake to birdsong and sleep enveloped by stars. The resort's concept began with an encounter with 'sannin' (Okinawan name for shell ginger), an aromatic plant that has long supported Okinawan life as food and medicine. With its strong, straight leaves and graceful clustered flowers, sannin symbolizes putting down firm roots in this land while living gracefully and upright. Rather than offering glamorous non-daily luxury, the resort invites guests to rediscover their true everyday rhythm. To help guests realign the rhythms of mind and body, the resort intentionally omits televisions, has few clocks or lights, and maintains a no-smoking policy across the property. These design choices may feel unfamiliar at first, but they are meant to strip away the unnecessary so that true relaxation can follow.
