Otsuka is a lively neighborhood centered on its shopping street. Step into a town wrapped in the crisp sound of passing streetcars and unexpected rendezvous with warm, friendly locals begin. After enjoying this comfortable town where residents come and go, exciting nights continue in guest rooms that feel like a secret hideaway. Inside, the hotel takes its cue from traditional hatago inns, with lattice work assembled from square hinoki cypress beams for a Japanese feel. A cafe & bar where guests gather, a counter overlooking the town, and multi-level guest rooms create a variety of places to spend time as you please. Otsuka itself is packed with small independent shops such as the rice ball shop Bongo and the sake spot Kushikoma — unique and full of character, yet warm and welcoming.
