Overview

Hinoshima is a small island surrounded by the Enohe Sea, with a circumference of 2.2km. Connected to the Ushiroshima Island by a suspension bridge that allows one car to pass, it's a peaceful fishing town where you can enjoy the slow pace of life, with cats napping and seagulls hunting for fish. The island is famous for its fresh and delicious seafood, particularly the unique 'ga ze' (hijiki) dish that can only be enjoyed here. Visit during the season (March to June) to savor the seasonal catch and the local delicacies.
