The Kinryu Daijoten is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, dedicated to the god of storms and storms' protection, Kinryu, as well as the goddess of fertility, Yamatono O no Kami. The shrine is one of Japan's oldest, with records dating back to 718 AD. The Kinryu Daijoten features a striking architectural style typical of Heian period Shinto shrines.
