The Ōryū-jinja Shrine in Shiga Prefecture is dedicated to Ōryū, a deity believed to protect the province of Ōmi. The shrine is located near Lake Biwa and is famous for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. Built during the Nara period (710-794 CE), it is one of the oldest shrines in Japan.
