Located in the city of Ena, Shizuoka Prefecture, Eighteen Stage Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Fujin and Raijin, the wind god and lightning god respectively. The shrine is famous for its wooden archway called 'Tobira' with 18 pillars that symbolize the 18 stages of the Japanese New Year (Oshogatsu). The shrine is also known for its historic significance dating back to the Edo period.
