厳島神社 is a Shinto shrine located on the island of Izu Oshima in Shizuoka Prefecture, known as Haku Sanzan and one of Japan's Three Holy Islands. This shrine enshrines the kami Amaterasu Ōmikami and is famous for its sacred torii gate that stands at the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea.

Amaterasu Ōmikami, the primary deity enshrined at厳島神社, is one of Japan's most revered deities. The shrine also honors the kami Ukanose-no-kami and Inari Okami, associated with rice and industry. During the autumn equinox, a festival called Haku Matsuri takes place, featuring traditional dances and offerings to the kami.
