Located in the city of Iwata, Shizuoka Prefecture, 貴船神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deified spirit of Fujiwara no Michinaga, a powerful regent and statesman during the Heian period (794-1185). The shrine's name reflects its association with Michinaga's daughter, who was believed to have been buried in the nearby mountains. The shrine is famous for its beautiful garden and traditional architecture, which reflect the Edo period (1603-1868) style.
