Located in the northeastern region of Hokkaido, North Academy Meadow Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of education and learning. The shrine's name reflects its historical connection to the nearby North Academy, a prestigious educational institution established in the late Heian period. Today, visitors can still see remnants of the old academy on the shrine grounds.
