Cultural notes

As one of the shrines in the famous 'Eight Hills' group, Eight Hills Shrine is said to be connected to the legend of the god Takemikazuchi, who is often depicted as a powerful storm god. During the annual Hiyoshi Matsuri festival, which takes place in July, visitors can participate in traditional dances and games.
