Located in the city of Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, the Daitsukatsu-jinja is an ancient Shinto shrine that has been dedicated to protecting merchants and traders since its founding in the Nara period (Heian era, late 8th century). The shrine's name, meaning 'great longevity deity,' reflects its historical significance as a guardian of commerce and prosperity. With over 1,200 years of history, it is one of Japan's oldest shrines.
