Located in the city of Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture,伊去波夜和氣命神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami Goshikibu no Kami, which means 'Goddess of the Valley'. The shrine is situated on the coast and is known for its beautiful ocean views. According to legend, the shrine was founded in 1593 by the daimyo (feudal lord) Date Masamune as a place of worship for his family's ancestral spirits.
