Enoshu, the Shinto god of water, is enshrined at Hie Shrine in Osaka, but nearby Hyogo's Enoshu-ji temple was originally dedicated to Enyo, mother goddess of war and fertility, associated with water purification and healing. The current shrine may be a renovation or rebuild on the original site. Kami believed to reside here include Enoshu and Hisahide, a legendary samurai.
