Visitor tip

Cultural notes

Tenna Shrine is associated with the mythology of rice cultivation and is said to be the place where the god Tenna Okami appeared to a local farmer, granting him bountiful harvests. During the annual Autumn Leaves Festival, visitors can see beautiful fall foliage and enjoy traditional performances and food stalls.

Founded in 1892 during the Meiji period, after the original shrine was destroyed by fire.
