Chiba

Located in the heart of Tokyo's neighboring prefecture, Chiba, Akakawa Inari Shrine is a lesser-known Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of rice and prosperity. As one of Japan's many Inari shrines, it shares similar traditions with its more famous counterpart, Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto. Visitors can admire the shrine's unique vermilion torii gates and beautifully landscaped gardens, which are especially vibrant during spring.
