Located in the town of Kinugawa, Tochigi Prefecture, Ōsawara Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami Ōsasahi. The shrine is famous for its beautiful autumn foliage and traditional Japanese architecture. According to local legend, Ōsasahi was the son of the sun goddess Amaterasu and was said to have been killed by the storm god Susanoo no Mikoto. As a result, he became a powerful kami who watched over the town and protected it from harm.
