Located in the town of Izumo, Tottori Prefecture, 揖夜神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. The shrine is part of the Izumo Taisha complex, one of Japan's most important and historic shrines. Its architecture reflects the Heian period style, with a wooden torii gate and a large haiden hall.
