Located in the city of Yonago, Tottori Prefecture, Daie-ji Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of the sea and fishing. The shrine's main hall, a wooden structure with a tiled roof, dates back to the Heian period (794-1185 CE). The shrine complex also features a sacred fountain, said to be the resting place of a giant fish caught by a local hero. Visitors can purify themselves at the shrine's spring water source and make offerings to the kami for good fishing luck and safe passage.
