Located in the city of Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Long Pond Eight Horseshoe Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Hachiman-gu, the god of war and patron of the Minamoto clan. The shrine is situated on the grounds of the former Odawara Castle and is one of the most famous shrines in Kanagawa Prefecture. Its name reflects its location along Long Pond, a man-made reservoir built during the Edo period.
