Located in the city of Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, Ibarahikoji Shrine is one of Japan's oldest Shinto shrines, dating back to 757 AD during the Nara period. The shrine is dedicated to the rice goddess Inari Okami and is famous for its vermilion torii gate and numerous smaller gates. Visitor tip
