Located in the city of Daigo, Ibaraki Prefecture, 廣幡八幡宮 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Susanoo, also known as Amaterasu’s brother and the storm god, and later syncretized with Hachiman, the god of war. The shrine is believed to have been built in 1655 during the Edo period, but its origins date back to the early Heian period. It is notable for its striking Shinden-zukuri architectural style, which features a large hall with a sloping roof covered by a wooden beam known as a 'hanshi'. Visitors can experience the shrine's unique cultural heritage and observe the tranquil gardens that surround it.
