Cultural notes
Chūsen-jinja Shrine is also famous for its 'Setsuna-no-Kami' festival, which takes place on November 5th and 6th every year. During this time, devotees make offerings to Setsuna-no-Kami to ensure safe passage during the post-harvest season.

The shrine was built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), making it one of the oldest shrines in Japan.
