Tsumago Shrine, located in the Fuji Five Lakes region of Shizuoka Prefecture, is dedicated to the deity of Japanese mountains and forests, known as Yamatno Orochi no Kami. Visitor tip

Cultural notes
The shrine is famous for its traditional architecture, which features a characteristic 'honda' (hall) with a tiled roof. During the autumn leaves season, the shrine hosts a festival to celebrate the changing of the leaves, which is considered one of the best in the region.
