Visitor tip
To respect the shrine, avoid walking barefoot on the torii gate and take a small amount of rice from the offering box to leave as an offering at your own home.

The shrine is associated with the legend of Oni-Okappo, a Shugendo monk who was said to have possessed supernatural powers. The shrine also hosts an annual spring festival called Setsubun to mark the beginning of spring.
