Goshirase Shrine, dedicated to the Shinto god of fertility and agriculture, is located in Niigata Prefecture. The shrine was built to ensure a bountiful harvest and protect local farmers from harsh weather conditions. Its distinctive red torii gate is an iconic landmark along Route 47.

Visitor tip
