Cultural notes
As a shrine dedicated to Hachiman, Honroku is also revered for its role in protecting the community from disease and natural disasters. The shrine hosts an annual Shichi-Go-San festival in November to honor the spirits of children, which features traditional music, dance, and food stalls.
