Located in the city of Omiya, Shiga Prefecture, Benkei-ji Temple is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the legendary hero Minamoto no Benkei. The shrine's architecture reflects its origins as a Heian-period (794-1185) temple, with a simple yet elegant design featuring a five-story pagoda and a large torii gate.

Visitor tip
