The shrine's architecture reflects its origins in the Heian period, with a main hall featuring a traditional hondo style roof. Nihonmatsu Shrine is also known for its unique festival traditions, including the Nihonmatsu Matsuri, which celebrates the deity Bishamon. The shrine's grounds feature several shrines and torii gates, as well as a museum showcasing local art and artifacts.

Cultural notes
