Located in the city of Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, the Shirakawa-jinja Shrine is dedicated to the god of the flag and the goddess of weaving, known as Hikoboshi. The shrine's white flag is said to have been gifted by a princess from the royal family of ancient Japan, who had come to the area seeking refuge.
