Dayatsu Jinja is a Shinto shrine located in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, dedicated to the god of fortune and good luck, known as Amaterasu Omikami, as well as other deities such as Tenjin and Fujin. The shrine's main hall was rebuilt during the Heian period (794-1185 CE) and has undergone several restorations since then. Visitors can see traditional Shinto architecture, including a vermilion torii gate and a five-story pagoda, which dates back to the Kamakura period (1185-1333 CE).

To experience the best of Dayatsu Jinja, arrive during the Setsubun festival (February 3rd) to participate in the traditional bean-throwing ceremony for good luck.

Dayatsu Jinja is also known as the 'God of Fortune Shrine' and has a significant connection to the legend of the 'Lucky Coin,' which says that making a wish at the shrine will bring good fortune. The shrine's torii gate is adorned with various tokens left by devotees seeking luck, prosperity, and happiness.
