Located in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Shōgen Tenmangu Shrine is dedicated to the god of learning and literature, Sugawara no Michizane. The shrine is famous for its vermilion torii gate and its connection to the legendary sword 'Kusanagi'. The shrine's main hall was rebuilt in 1993 using traditional techniques and materials.
