Tsu ka no-jinja is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Tsukumo, Ibaraki Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the god Inari, known as Okami in Japanese, who is revered for his patronage of rice and agriculture. Cultural notes

Tsu ka no-jinja is also associated with the legend of Takekake, a god who protects fishermen and travelers. During the annual Takekake Matsuri festival, visitors can participate in traditional dances and music performances.

Historical note

The shrine was originally established during the Nara period (710-794 CE), but its current structure dates back to the Edo period (1603-1867 CE).
