Cultural notes

Okuninushi-no-kami is revered as the god of good health and fertility. The shrine's spring festival, known as Hanami no Seki, celebrates the arrival of spring with traditional dances and food offerings. Locals believe that the shrine's unique architecture, featuring a distinctive roof shape inspired by the 'Hōryū-ji' temple, attracts blessings from Okuninushi-no-kami.

Historical note

The shrine was rebuilt in 1889 after being destroyed during the Meiji period's nationalization of Shinto.
