Located in the scenic town of Hitachi, Tochigi Prefecture is not far from the actual location of the Shrine East Storm God, however the shrine East Storm God is located in Ibaraki Prefecture and was originally built to worship Kumagusuku no Okami, the local storm god. The current main hall was rebuilt during the Edo period. Today, visitors can enjoy traditional Shinto ceremonies and participate in the annual Autumn Leaves Festival. The shrine's tranquil gardens and scenic surroundings make it a popular destination for nature lovers.
