Located in the town of Yasukawa, Shiga Prefecture, Tenmokuni no Okami Shrine is dedicated to Tsuneharu no Kami, a kami associated with good harvests and prosperity. The shrine's architecture reflects its Heian-period origins, featuring a vermilion torii gate and a tiled roof. A short walk from the shrine lies Lake Biwa, Japan's largest freshwater lake.

Visitor tip
Visit the shrine during cherry blossom season to witness a stunning display of blooms, but be sure to arrive early as the trees are mostly located on temple grounds and can fill up quickly.
