Located in Osaka, Sūgō-jinja Shrine is dedicated to Sūgō-no-Mikoto, a Shinto deity associated with the god of war and agriculture. The shrine's architecture reflects traditional Japanese design, with a main hall and several smaller shrines. In Osaka, it is one of the oldest shrines still in use today.

Cultural notes

Sūgō-no-Mikoto is also associated with the festival of Tanabata, which celebrates star-crossed lovers. The shrine holds an annual Tanabata festival in September, featuring traditional games and food stalls.

The shrine was established in the Heian period (794-1185 CE).
