Cultural notes
Asamatsu Shrine is famous for its association with the legend of Fujin, who was said to have used his wind powers to guide the Japanese samurai leader Minamoto no Yoshitsune back to Japan. During the spring festival, known as Hanamiyayuri, visitors can enjoy traditional performances and food stalls.
