若宮神社

Cultural notes

As an Inari shrine, Ifukamado Shrine is famous for its rice storage facilities and bell towers, which were used to ring out a signal to announce the harvest. During festival season, visitors can participate in traditional dances and rituals to honor the god of agriculture and prosperity.

Historical note

The shrine was founded in 1668 by Tokugawa Ietsuna, a member of the powerful Tokugawa shogunate.
