Eight Cedar Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine located in the heart of Setagaya, Tokyo. The shrine's architecture is characteristic of the traditional Japanese style, with a rectangular main hall and a small vermilion torii gate. According to local legend, Eight Cedar was founded by Emperor Jimmu in 659 CE, during the mythical reign of Japan's first emperor.
