Anciently dedicated to the four gods of ancient Japan, the Shirakami-Sanchi Goshinsha Shrine is a remote Shinto shrine located in Akita Prefecture's Shirakami-Sanchi National Park. The shrine was originally built during the Heian period and has been reconstructed several times throughout its history due to natural disasters. Today, visitors can explore the shrine grounds, which feature traditional Japanese architecture and stunning mountain views.

Visitor tip
