Cultural notes
Tomoe-no-Ōka Mikoto Shrine is associated with the mythology of the Tomoe no kami, which is said to have been a celestial being who descended to earth. The shrine is also famous for its annual Cherry Blossom Viewing Festival (Hanami), which takes place in late March.
