Inakaya Shrine, dedicated to Inari Okami, is located in the city of Akita and is one of Japan's most famous shrines. The shrine complex includes a large torii gate and several buildings with multiple rooflines, characteristic of traditional Japanese architecture. Inakaya Shrine has been an important site for Shinto worship since its founding during the Heian period (794-1185 CE).
