Longer Shrine is a Shinto shrine in the city of Sasashima, located on a peninsula jutting into the Pacific Ocean. Dedicated to Yamatonomiokami, the god of rice and fertility, it was originally constructed during the Heian period (794-1185 CE) as a smaller shrine and later renovated.
